Jharkhand Weather Update: IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert For Dhanbad, Jamtara; Heatwave Likely In THESE Districts

Jharkhand Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that some regions of Jharkhand will experience light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days, adding that temperatures in most districts are likely to increase after May 10. The weather department stated that the rain is expected to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius.

It has also advised the farmers to cover their harvested crops and the residents to limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

Jharkhand Weather Update: Yellow Alert For Rain Issued In Seven Districts

The weather department issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in multiple districts, including Sahibganj, Godda, Pakur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamtara, and Dumka. It further added that these districts are also likely to receive hailstorms for the next two days. Farmers of these districts have been advised to keep their crops safe from hailstorms and not to reduce their time in the field during rainfall and strong winds. While the temperature is likely to drop in the next two days, it will surge after May 12.

Jharkhand Weather Update: Multiple Districts To Experience Heat Wave

Apart from this, the weather department stated that several districts are also expected to experience a heat wave in the upcoming few days. It added that the temperature is also likely to rise significantly in these districts by at least two to three degrees Celsius. While providing details, it stated that the East-West Trough is moving from southwest Rajasthan towards north Jharkhand, leading to hot winds. The IMD stated that multiple districts will experience a surge in temperature, including Sahibganj, Godda, Pakur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamtara, and Chatra.

Apart from this, the weather department on Thursday stated that several northern states, including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, are expected to receive light to heavy rainfall till May 10, adding that the temperature is likely to surge significantly after May 12.
