The production

According to a report by PeepingMoon, John Abraham’s production house, JA Entertainment, has been working on the Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake for the past four years. Originally, in 2022, the film was set to feature Abraham alongside Abhishek Bachchan, with Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti at the helm. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Bachchan had to exit the project, leading to Arjun Kapoor stepping in as his replacement. Despite these changes, the project was shelved just a month before filming was scheduled to begin in January 2022. Abraham reportedly felt that the script failed to do justice to the essence of the original, which was lauded for its sharp dialogues, gripping narrative, and standout performances by Prithviraj and Biju Menon.
