Muskan And Sahil Seek Bail As Saurabh’s Family Alleges Special Treatment In Jail

Allegations have also surfaced suggesting that the two are receiving special treatment behind bars, prompting Saurabh’s mother to file a complaint on the Chief Minister’s portal, demanding their transfer as per Jagran.com.

On Friday, government lawyers met with Muskan and Sahil in jail. During the meeting, both accused shared their side of the story and pleaded with their legal team to secure their release on bail, reported Jagran.com.

“Get us out of jail, and we will fix everything,” the accused reportedly told their lawyers.

According to jail authorities, both Muskan and Sahil have overcome their drug addiction and are receiving basic facilities, including two sets of clothes each. Meanwhile, the police are finalising the charge sheet, which is expected to be submitted in court soon.

Legal Battle Heats Up as Police Build Strong Case

During the jail visit, Muskan reportedly expressed her desire to meet her young daughter, Pihu, and claimed that no family members had visited her since her arrest. Their legal team is preparing to file formal bail applications shortly.

However, the police remain confident that they have gathered strong evidence against the accused. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Vipin Tada assured that the investigation is nearly complete, and a comprehensive charge sheet will be presented to ensure a swift trial and maximum punishment for the accused.

“We have solid evidence against both accused and will present a compelling case to secure the harshest penalty,” SSP Tada stated.

Allegations of Special Treatment in Jail

Amid the ongoing legal proceedings, serious concerns have been raised about the accused receiving preferential treatment in jail. Saurabh’s mother, Renu Devi, has accused jail officials of providing undue protection to Muskan and Sahil. She has filed a formal complaint on the Chief Minister’s portal, urging their immediate transfer to another facility.

“It is clear that the accused are receiving help from unknown sources. If no action is taken, we will escalate the matter to the Director General of Prisons in Lucknow,” Renu Devi warned.

The case has ignited public outrage, with many demanding the strictest punishment for Muskan and Sahil. As the police prepare to submit the charge sheet, the upcoming court proceedings are expected to play a crucial role in determining their fate.

A Love Triangle That Led to Murder

The origins of the case trace back to 2016 when Muskan Rastogi, a resident of Brahmpuri, married Saurabh from Indiranagar through a love marriage. In 2019, they welcomed a daughter named Pihu. However, their relationship deteriorated when Muskan rekindled her connection with her former classmate, Sahil.

As Muskan and Sahil grew closer, tensions in her marriage increased, leading to divorce proceedings. During this period, Saurabh moved to London, but upon his return, the situation took a deadly turn.

According to the police investigation, Muskan and Sahil allegedly conspired to murder Saurabh. They are accused of killing him, sealing his body in a drum, and covering it with cement to hide the crime. The police eventually uncovered the murder, arrested both accused, and sent them to jail.
