Sheikh Mohammed launches second phase of ‘Zero Bureaucracy’ Programme

On Monday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, launched the second phase of the ‘Zero Bureaucracy’ programme in the UAE government.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that this is a national project aimed at creating simpler, faster, and more impactful government services.

In a post on his official X account, Sheikh Mohammed stated: ‘Today, we launched the second phase of the Zero Bureaucracy programme in the UAE government….a national project to create simpler, faster, and more effective government services.’

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the achievements of the first phase, noting: ‘In the initial stage, we reduced service delivery time by over 70%, eliminated more than 4,000 unnecessary procedures, and saved customers over 12 million hours in travel and wait times’.

‘We thank more than 30 government entities and 690 teams that contributed to simplifying and streamlining government procedures. Today, we are expanding our efforts, particularly in eliminating digital bureaucracy. Our goal is a government without complexity, services without delays, and results which make a real difference in people’s lives.’
