CM M.K. Stalin to Visit Madurai to Inaugurate Development Projects

Focus on Infrastructure, Education, and Rural Welfare Initiatives

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin is scheduled to visit Madurai on Saturday to inaugurate a series of development projects across the region.

Upon arrival at Madurai Airport, the Chief Minister will proceed to the ELCOT Technology Park to participate in an official function. He will then inaugurate a capacity-building facility established by Pinnacle Industries.

Later, CM Stalin will visit Thamukkam Maidanam, a prominent venue in the city, where he will preside over the inauguration of a key segment of a major highway project. He will also virtually unveil a statue of the renowned freedom fighters, the Marudhu Pandiyar brothers.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister will visit Meenakshi Government Arts College for Women to inaugurate a newly constructed computer laboratory aimed at enhancing educational resources for students. Following this, he will travel to Vandiyur to inaugurate multiple development works, including upgraded facilities at the Anguran Science Centre and a new office building for the local panchayat.

Additionally, CM Stalin will formally launch a rural drinking water supply project expected to benefit 867 families in nearby villages. His schedule also includes a brief rest at the Madurai Guest House around 1:20 pm, after which he will attend a ruling party event for grassroots workers of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

The day’s engagements will conclude with his participation in a program organized by the Jan Nyay Manch at the Gandhi Mandapam inside the Gandhi Memorial Museum. He is expected to depart for Chennai by special aircraft from Madurai Airport around 6:30 pm, marking the end of his one-day visit.

The visit underscores the state government’s continued emphasis on infrastructure expansion, educational advancement, and rural welfare initiatives across Tamil Nadu.
