Akshay Kumar Raises Concerns Over Growing Reliance on AI and VFX in Action Films

Entertainment Desk: Akshay Kumar has expressed concern over the increasing dependence on Artificial Intelligence and Visual Effects in modern action cinema, emphasizing that it often compromises authenticity.
The actor noted that action filmmaking has undergone a major transformation in recent years. Earlier, stunts were performed with real physical effort and involvement, but today, many action sequences are either enhanced or entirely created using VFX.
Kumar also shared his reservations about AI-driven filmmaking, stating that audiences today are smart enough to recognize the difference. According to him, viewers can feel the effort behind real action—something technology cannot fully replicate.
Highlighting his passion for traditional filmmaking, he said his goal is to work on films that showcase genuine, real action. He compared this to the difference between a handmade painting and a printed one, suggesting that authenticity carries a unique value often missing in artificially enhanced visuals.
His remarks come at a time when the film industry is rapidly embracing advanced technologies, sparking an ongoing debate about the balance between innovation and realism in cinema.
