iQOO 15R is all set to make its official debut in India. The smartphone is being considered a new addition to iQOO’s flagship lineup, which already includes the iQOO 15. Even before its launch, the company has revealed some of the key specifications. According to the details shared, the device will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
Expected Price and Availability
iQOO has hinted that this smartphone will be the fastest device in the under ₹55,000 segment. This suggests that the starting price of the iQOO 15R is likely to be below ₹55,000. The phone is expected to be available via Amazon and the official iQOO India website in Triumph Silver and Dark Night color variants.
Key Features of iQOO 15R
The smartphone will sport a 1.5K AMOLED display supporting a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and eye-care technology. The screen is expected to offer a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. For biometric security, the device will come with an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Processor and Software
The iQOO 15R will be equipped with a 3nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The company claims that the chipset has scored over 3.5 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The processor is paired with a Q2 supercomputing chip and a network enhancement chip for improved performance.
For thermal management, the smartphone will feature a 6.5K IceCore VC cooling system. On the software front, the device will run on Android 16 based on OriginOS 6. iQOO has promised four years of Android updates and six years of security updates for the device.
Camera Specifications
In terms of photography, the iQOO 15R is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup. It may include a 50MP Sony LYT-700V primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens is expected, which will be useful for wide shots and group photos.
