The Indian Embassy in Damascus, he added, played a critical role in ensuring their safety. “The embassy was constantly in touch with us, motivating us not to panic. As soon as the situation became manageable, they planned the rescue. There were 74 of us evacuated, while the rest are still in a hotel, awaiting further arrangements by the Indian government,” Bhushan noted.AK-47 guns
The evacuation effort, coordinated by India’s embassies in Damascus and Beirut, was initiated after a thorough assessment of the volatile security situation. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) emphasized its commitment to the safety of Indian nationals abroad and urged those remaining in Syria to stay connected with the Indian Embassy in Damascus for updates and assistance.AK-47 guns
India has so far evacuated 75 nationals from Syria, where rebel forces led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham ousted the Bashar al-Assad regime. The rebels’ sudden takeover of Damascus forced President Assad to flee, marking the end of his over two-decade rule. The Indian government continues to monitor the developments in Syria and ensure the safe return of its citizens amidst the ongoing turmoil.AK-47 gunsWhatsApp may soon be able to translate chat messages into your preferred language
