Ustaad Bhagat Singh Fails at Box Office Despite Festive Release

Entertainment Desk: Pawan Kalyan’s much-hyped film Ustaad Bhagat Singh has turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office, despite releasing during the favorable Eid 2026 festive window.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the big-budget action entertainer failed to sustain momentum after its initial days. On its 10th day, the film reportedly earned around ₹86 lakh, reflecting a worrying drop instead of the expected weekend growth.

Strong Competition Impacts Performance

One of the key reasons behind the film’s underperformance is the massive dominance of Dhurandhar 2, which continues to draw large audiences and has significantly affected Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s theatrical run, especially in the Telugu market.

Underwhelming Collections

After 10 days, the film has managed to collect approximately ₹68.91 crore in India. Considering its hefty budget of շուրջ ₹150 crore, backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has recovered less than half its cost—placing it in a weak commercial position.

The overseas performance has also been disappointing. The film has grossed only about ₹11.60 crore internationally, taking its worldwide total to nearly ₹92.91 crore.

₹100 Crore Mark Looks Unlikely

At one point, reaching the ₹100 crore mark seemed like a consolation milestone. However, with collections steadily declining and more than ₹7 crore still needed, even that target now appears difficult to achieve.

For Pawan Kalyan, this film marks another underwhelming box office outing at a time when expectations were exceptionally high.
