Vicky Kaushal’s film “Chhaava” has made waves by achieving the highest third-weekend box office collection for a Hindi film. Chhaava, made with a budget of Rs 140 crore, collected Rs 31 crore on its opening day and amassed Rs 116.5 crore over in the first week.
In India, “Chhaava” has collected Rs 447.26 crore, while its gross earnings have reached Rs 528 crore. The worldwide collection stands at an impressive Rs 613.56 crore. This historical action film is based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal, and continues to captivate audiences.
Chhaava Surpasses Pushpa 2
The film’s third-weekend earnings of Rs 60.10 crore have set a new benchmark, overtaking Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2,” which earned Rs 60 crore in India during the same period. The margin was narrow, but “Chhaava” emerged victorious in this box office battle.
“Chhaava” is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. The cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, and Diana Penty alongside Vicky Kaushal. The movie delves into the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, also known as Shambhuraje, who was the second ruler of the Maratha Empire.
