Suvendu Adhikari Takes Oath as West Bengal CM, Full List of Ministers Announced

New Delhi: Suvendu Adhikari has taken oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal. Along with him, five other leaders were also sworn in as ministers. The portfolios of these ministers are yet to be announced.

Grand Oath-Taking Ceremony Held in Kolkata
The oath-taking ceremony took place at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. West Bengal Governor R.N. Ravi first administered the oath of office to Suvendu Adhikari as Chief Minister, followed by the swearing-in of five other ministers.
Dilip Ghosh Takes Oath
After Suvendu Adhikari, Dilip Ghosh was invited to take oath as minister. During the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Dilip Ghosh served as the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party and played a significant role in the party’s campaign this election as well.
Agnimitra Paul Sworn In
Following Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul also took oath as minister. She is the only woman minister in Suvendu Adhikari’s cabinet. In the recent Assembly elections, she won the Asansol South seat by a margin of over 40,000 votes.
Ashok Kirtania Joins the Cabinet
Ashok Kirtania was the fourth leader to take oath after Suvendu Adhikari, Dilip Ghosh, and Agnimitra Paul. He secured victory from the Bongaon North constituency with a margin of 40,000 votes and has now been inducted into the West Bengal government as a minister.
Khudiram Tudu Becomes Minister
Khudiram Tudu was the next leader to take oath in Suvendu Adhikari’s government. He won the Ranibandh seat by more than 50,000 votes in the Assembly elections.
Nisith Pramanik Also Takes Oath
Young BJP leader Nisith Pramanik has also been made a minister in Suvendu Adhikari’s cabinet. In the Assembly elections, he won the Mathabhanga seat in Cooch Behar district by a margin of over 57,000 votes.
