BCCI Naman Awards 2026: Binny, Dravid, and Mithali to Receive Lifetime Honors

Mumbai: The BCCI will celebrate the finest achievements in Indian cricket at the BCCI Naman Awards 2026 on March 15 in New Delhi. This annual ceremony recognizes outstanding performances in international, domestic, and age-group cricket while honoring individuals who have made long-standing contributions to the sport in India.
Legendary former Indian cricketers Roger Binny and Rahul Dravid will receive the prestigious Colonel C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for their enduring service to Indian cricket. Meanwhile, former Indian women’s team captain Mithali Raj will be honored with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women for her pivotal role in taking women’s cricket in India to new heights.
Binny is being recognized for his contribution as a player to India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup win—where he was the tournament’s leading wicket-taker—and later as a coach, selector, and BCCI president. Dravid will be honored for his stellar playing career, amassing over 24,000 international runs, as well as his impactful mentoring and coaching, including guiding India to victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Other award winners include India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill, who will receive the Polly Umrigar Award for the 2024–25 season, and Smriti Mandhana, who will be awarded Best International Cricketer (Women) for the fifth time. India opener Shafali Verma and U-19 World Cup-winning captain Ayush Mhatre will also be recognized for their outstanding performances in the 2024–25 domestic season. The Mumbai Cricket Association will be honored for its top performances in BCCI domestic tournaments.
A key highlight of the ceremony will be honoring the five Indian teams that recently won ICC titles, including the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, and victories in both the Men’s and Women’s ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournaments, marking a historic era of success for Indian cricket.
