Shahid Kapoor And Kareena Kapoor Share A Warm Hug, Netizens Call It ‘Awkward’ | Watch
Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and several other Bollywood celebrities have arrived in Jaipur for the IIFA 2025 award ceremony.
Ahead of the ceremony, a star-studded press conference was held in Jaipur, during which fans got to see Shahid Kapoor and Kareena’s rare reunion. The ex-couple and Jab We Met co-stars greeted each other warmly at the event.
A video that has gone viral on social media shows Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor sharing a warm hug at the press conference. Bebo then went on to hug Karan Johar, who was also present at the event. Shahid and Kareena interacted for a bit, while Karan Johar, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon and other celebs also joined them on stage. The rare sight of the former couple left fans in a frenzy. Fans were quick to react to the video, and while one netizen wrote, “That awkwardness is so obvious on Shahid’s face,” another one commented, “Whaaaaat.” A third comment read, “Can’t believe my eyes,” while another comment read, “Jab We Met Again.” Other celebrities such as Bobby Deol, Vijay Varma, Madhuri Dixit, Shreya Ghoshal were also seen at the event.
In an old interview with Film Companion, Kareena Kapoor Khan mentioned that it was Shahid who asked her to consider the script of Jab We Met. She recalled him saying that the girl’s part is amazing, and that she should do it. “Of course, then destiny had its own plan and life took its own course. A lot happened in the making of this film and Tashan and our lives… We all kind of went our separate ways. And this beauty of a movie came out of it,” she said.
For the unversed, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were in a relationship for several years before parting ways in 2006. The duo broke up before Jab We Met release. Both stars eventually moved on to build happy families-Shahid with Mira Rajput, and Kareena with Saif Ali Khan. Shahid and Mira are proud parents to Misha and Zain, while Kareena and Saif share two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
