Virat Kohli’s IPL Quiz: RCB Star Gives One Wrong Answer Amid Historic Milestones

Virat Kohli, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, recently participated in a fun IPL career quiz shared by RCB. While the batting superstar confidently answered most questions, he gave one incorrect response regarding his 2011 season tally.
When asked, “How many runs did you score in the 2011 edition?” Kohli answered 505, while the correct figure was 557 runs.
Kohli has made history in IPL 2026 by becoming the first batter in IPL history to cross 4,000 runs in chases. He achieved this milestone during RCB’s opening match of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 28 March at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Additionally, Kohli surpassed Pakistan’s former batter Shoaib Malik to become the sixth highest run-scorer in T20 cricket, with Malik having scored 13,571 runs in 557 matches and 515 innings, including 83 half-centuries at an average of 35.99.
Speaking on Star Sports, former South African pacer Dale Steyn highlighted Kohli’s ongoing development as a batter:
“Once Virat reaches a certain level, he constantly looks for ways to improve. Every IPL edition, he has evolved. The latest improvement is his ability to hit more sixes. Earlier, he had a mindset focused on specific shots. But after retiring from Test cricket, his mindset has shifted. He supports himself, plays more aerial shots, and consistently demonstrates his class on the field.”
Kohli’s blend of experience, adaptability, and aggressive batting continues to make him one of the most formidable players in the IPL, as he adds new milestones to his illustrious career.
