Bengaluru Man Dies By Suicide Amid Marital Dispute, No Note Found

A 40-year-old tech professional was found dead at his Bengaluru apartment on Sunday. The police have filed an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) in connection with the case, as no suicide note has been found.
While the exact cause behind his extreme step was unclear, initial investigation by police found that he had frequent disputes with his wife.
The deceased, Prashanth Nair, was a senior sales and marketing manager at Lenovo. He lived in Bengaluru’s Chikkabananvara with his wife, Pooja Nair, an employee at Dell, and their eight-year-old daughter.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North Bengaluru, Saidulu Adavath, the couple often argued and were reportedly contemplating a divorce. However, their family members encouraged them to remain together and try to resolve their issues.
On Sunday, after repeated calls to Prashanth went unanswered, his father went to the apartment and found him dead. The case has been taken up by the Soladevanahalli Police, and they are investigating further. Prashanth Nair’s father said in his statement that his son and daughter-in-law were living separately and had an argument with his wife on Friday, after which his father tried to reach him over the phone. As his calls went unanswered, he reached his house and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
The complainant stated that he believes his son took his own life due to the distress caused by his marital issues, but he does not suspect anyone else. A case has been registered at the Soladevanahalli Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
