Fuel Crisis in Maharashtra: ‘No Stock’ Boards at Pumps, Long Queues Trouble Public

A severe fuel shortage has hit parts of Maharashtra, particularly in Beed and Dharashiv districts, causing widespread disruption to daily life. Several petrol pumps have shut down, displaying “No Stock” boards, while long queues of vehicles are being seen at stations where fuel is still available.

The crisis has led to significant inconvenience for residents, with people struggling to access petrol and diesel. In areas like Jalna, including Shahgarh and nearby regions, fuel is reportedly unavailable at many pumps, further worsening the situation.

Agriculture and Transport Severely Impacted

The shortage has not only affected commuters but also disrupted agricultural activities and goods transportation. In regions like Kalamb-Dhoki in Dharashiv, the lack of diesel has brought farming operations to a halt, as tractors and other machinery remain idle.

Where diesel is available, it is being supplied in limited quantities, raising concerns among vehicle owners about long-distance travel and essential transport services.

Public Anger Grows, Demand for Immediate Action

The ongoing crisis has triggered frustration among citizens, who are now demanding immediate intervention from the authorities to restore fuel supply. Reports suggest that for the past three days, diesel scarcity in Beed district has been particularly severe, affecting both commercial and passenger vehicle operators.

With several petrol pumps remaining closed and supply yet to normalize, the situation continues to remain critical, putting pressure on the administration to act swiftly.
