Major Administrative Reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh: 9 IAS Officers Transferred

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring nine senior IAS officers and assigning them new responsibilities. Several officers have also been given additional charges along with their existing roles.

IAS officer M. Devaraj has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Appointment and Personnel Department, along with being given the additional responsibility of Director General of the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management.

Anurag Yadav has been shifted from the IT and Electronics Department and appointed as Principal Secretary of the Social Welfare and Sainik Welfare Department, while Alok Kumar has been given additional charge of the IT and Electronics Department.

Saurabh Babu has been assigned the responsibilities of the Rural Development and Rural Engineering Services Department, along with being appointed Director General of the Deendayal Upadhyay State Institute of Rural Development. Meanwhile, Ravi Ranjan has been moved from UP Electronics Corporation and UP Agro and appointed as Special Secretary in the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department.

T.K. Shibu has been given charge of the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch along with the role of Managing Director of UP Agro. Himanshu Kaushik has been appointed as Managing Director of UP Electronics Corporation.

IAS officer Soumya Gururani, who was awaiting posting, has now been appointed as Municipal Commissioner of Shahjahanpur. At the same time, Dr. Bipin Kumar Mishra has been transferred from Shahjahanpur Municipal Corporation and appointed as Additional Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.

Earlier this month, the state government had also transferred seven IAS, seven IPS, and four PCS officers as part of a broader administrative overhaul. Additionally, IAS officer Lokesh M, who was on the waiting list, has now been assigned to the Public Works Department (PWD).

Among other officers transferred recently are Neena Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Mahendra Prasad, Raghubir, Ashish Kumar, and Prakash Bindu, reflecting a continued effort by the state government to streamline administration and enhance governance efficiency.
