Vande Bharat Express:: Everything you need to know about the anticipated inauguration of the New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express train
Vande Bharat Express: The Vande Bharat Express train between Delhi and Srinagar is anticipated to start operations shortly, providing a major improvement to India’s rail connectivity.
According to the report, Indian Railways hopes to finish this enormous project by December 31 so that the train can begin operation in time for the celebration of Republic Day.
The line will eventually connect to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India, after connecting Delhi to Srinagar, the country’s northernmost point. An important turning point in the development of the nation’s rail infrastructure will be reached with this extension.
Despite its difficult terrain, the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla train route has advanced significantly. The train’s smooth running will be made possible by the successful completion of the most challenging 111-kilometer section between Banihal and Srinagar. Railway experts predict that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely inaugurate the Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express on Republic Day if current work paces continue.
In the meantime, Indian Railways is prepared to introduce the eagerly anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper trains by 2025–2026, promising to provide a new degree of comfort and ease for lengthy journeys. By the fiscal year 2025–2026, Indian Railways intends to introduce ten additional Vande Bharat sleeper trains, according to media reports.
