Virat Kohli scores 51st ODI century, leads India to 6-wicket win against Pakistan in Champions Trophy

Indian batter Virat Kohli scored a century off 110 deliveries against Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium in the Champions Trophy 2025, as the Men in Blue secured an emphatic six-wicket win in the multi-nation tournament.

Kohli was in sublime form and looked in absolute control of his game right from the beginning of this innings. He stepped in to bat at 31/1 after Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 20. The former captain took some time to get his eye in, but demonstrated a positive approach to rotate the strike and bag occasional boundaries as well.

Kohli spoke extensively after the game, saying that he focused on cutting the outside noise that surrounds big games like these.

He mentioned that his major driving force was to keep ticking off his processes. Kohli explained that his role was to control the middle overs, take on the seamers when required, not embrace too many risks against the spinners, and then flourish with the big shots whenever an opportunity arose. Kohli played a risk-free knock, scoring just seven fours and steadying the innings with great care and caution.
