On Army Day, PM Modi and Rajnath Singh Salute the Courage, Sacrifice, and Valor of Brave Soldiers

Leaders Praise Indian Army for Unmatched Dedication to National Security and Service

New Delhi: On the occasion of Army DayPrime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended heartfelt greetings to the brave soldiers, officers, veterans, women warriors, and their families of the Indian Army. Both leaders lauded the Army’s undaunted courage, discipline, and selfless sacrifice in ensuring the nation’s security, honor, and integrity.

PM Modi, in his message, expressed pride in the discipline, bravery, and dedication of Indian soldiers who remain committed at all times to protecting the nation. He stated:
“The Indian Army has set the highest standards of national service through exemplary discipline, professionalism, and devotion to duty. Whether defending our borders, conducting relief operations during natural disasters, tackling internal security challenges, or participating in United Nations peacekeeping missions, the Indian Army has always fulfilled its responsibilities with extraordinary commitment.”

Highlighting Operation Sindur, PM Modi said the nation witnessed firsthand the fearless courage of its soldiers. He added that the Indian Army continues to hold a distinguished position among the world’s most respected military forces.

The Prime Minister also noted that in recent years, significant steps have been taken to enhance the capability and modernization of the armed forces, including the availability of advanced weaponry and technical equipment, expansion of training facilities, and promotion of indigenous defense systems under ‘Make in India’, preparing the forces for future challenges. He emphasized that the courage and commitment of our soldiers will remain crucial in building a strong, self-reliant, and developed India, inspiring generations to come.

The Indian Army shared PM Modi’s message on the social media platform X.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended his greetings to all ranks, veterans, officers, and their families. In his message, he said:
“Army Day is an opportunity to express gratitude for the Indian Army’s selfless service, bravery, and dedication towards the nation’s security and integrity.”

Rajnath Singh highlighted the Army’s dual role: standing guard at the borders against multidimensional security threats and providing exemplary service during natural disasters, contributing to civilian welfare.

Praising Operation Sindur, he said the campaign showcased the Army’s courage, professionalism, and resolve, sending a strong message of justice to the victims in Pahalgam and filling the nation with pride.

The Defence Minister further underscored that the Indian Army’s role in nation-building is unparalleled, contributing to stability, development, welfare, and humanitarian assistance in border regions, continuously propelling India’s progress.
