Amid Global Tensions, 4 Indian LPG Ships Safely Return via Strait of Hormuz

New Delhi: India has received a major relief amid rising global tensions, as four LPG-laden Indian vessels have safely returned after crossing the critical Strait of Hormuz.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed that all four ships carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) successfully navigated the sensitive route and reached India without any incident. These vessels had passed through the Strait a few days ago.
He stated that in view of the current international situation—especially escalating tensions in the Middle East—the Indian government remains in constant touch with all relevant countries. The primary objective is to ensure safe passage for Indian ships and maintain uninterrupted energy supplies for the country.
Jaiswal further emphasized that the government is closely monitoring developments and is fully prepared to take necessary steps to tackle any potential crisis.
The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most vital energy corridors, through which a significant portion of global crude oil and gas is transported. Ensuring its security is therefore of strategic importance not only for India but for many nations worldwide.
