Mumbai Local Train Services Alert: Temporary Adjustments From December 16; Check The New Schedule Inside

Western Railway (WR) has announced a series of temporary changes to its suburban local train services starting from December 16, according to the Midday report.

These adjustments are set to affect commuters on the Andheri-Virar, Bhayander-Nalasopara, and Churchgate-Nalasopara routes.

Temporary Changes To Train Services

According to the official statement by the Divisional Railway Manager of Western Railway, the following changes will be implemented on the affected routes:

1. Andheri-Virar Train (No. 92019): This train will be short-terminated at Bhayander. Passengers intending to travel beyond Bhayander will need to take alternative services.

2. Bhayander-Nalasopara Train (No. 90648): The service will now originate from Bhayander instead of Nalasopara. This means that passengers from Nalasopara will need to board the train at Bhayander.

3. Train Nos. 90208 (Bhayander-Churchgate) and 90249 (Churchgate-Nalasopara): These trains will now operate with 15 coaches instead of the usual 12-coach configuration, providing additional seating capacity to accommodate more passengers.

With these changes, commuters are expected to benefit from better connectivity, more seats during peak hours, and faster travel times. Western Railway has assured passengers that the new timetable and changes are designed to meet the growing demand for suburban services in Mumbai, offering a more comfortable travel experience for millions of daily passengers.

These adjustments come on the back of previous announcements in October 2024 regarding the launch of new services under the revised timetable, which has been received positively by passengers. With the growing population and demand for travel in Mumbai, these continuous improvements aim to create a more streamlined and efficient suburban rail network in the city.MumbaiAUS vs IND: Sunil Gavaskar suggests Sachin Tendulkar lesson to struggling Virat Kohli
