UAE Intercepts 137 Missiles and 209 Drones After Iranian Attack
Air Defense Systems Activated Following Strikes in the Gulf Region

Iran: Following attacks carried out by Iran in the Gulf region, the air defense forces of the United Arab Emirates have successfully intercepted 137 missiles and 209 drones so far. Officials stated that the action was taken to ensure national security and protect civilians.
According to the UAE’s official report, air defense forces were placed on high alert after strikes targeted American and Israeli air bases in the Gulf region. Advanced radar systems, interceptor missiles, and coordinated air defense tactics were effectively deployed to neutralize incoming missile and drone threats.
The report further noted that national security agencies continue to closely monitor the country’s airspace and remain fully prepared to respond to any potential threats. Authorities have advised citizens to stay cautious and avoid unauthorized flights within restricted airspace.
Experts believe that the missile and drone attacks in the Gulf region also had a significant impact on international air traffic. Operations at major airports in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other locations experienced temporary disruptions, affecting thousands of passengers. However, due to the swift response and successful interceptions by air defense forces, no major damage was reported.
The UAE government further emphasized that security forces are enhancing protective measures and technological surveillance to ensure immediate and effective action against any future threats.
